About the Friends of the Library
Friends of the Blair Public Library and Technology Center invite you to become a member of the non-profit volunteer citizen's group that supports the Blair Public Library and Technology Center. The Friends area a group of community-minded individuals who have a special interest in supporting the community library.
The money raised through dues and fundraising pay for programs and needs not covered by the library budget. The Friends have assisted with the purchase of program supplies, summer reading prizes, technology equipment, and other items that help improve the services the library offers to the community
Memberships
Membership forms are available at the Circulation Desk of the library.
- 1 Year Single Membership - $10
- 1 Year Family Membership - $25
- 1 Year Junior / Student Membership (17 years and younger) - $5
Benefits of Membership include: Early access to book sales, Library updates and newsletter, opportunities to volunteer (including providing snacks and baked goods for events), setting up / assisting with events, be on planning committees, help with communications (Facebook, newsletter, web page, etc.), volunteer in the library, become a member of the Friend's board.
Donations
The Friends of the Library appreciate donations of new or gently used materials. These materials might be added to the Library's collection or sold in the Friends Bookstore to support library programs.
Unfortunately, the Friends cannot accept the following items:
